“We will not tolerate those who systematically attempt to poison our society with hatred”
“Today, March 21rst is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
It is a great occasion for us to reiterate that we categorically and explicitly condemn every expression of racism, xenophobia, intolerance and discrimination, from whatever source.
Unfortunately, this message remains relevant. The recent attacks against migrants and refugees – even against young children – reveal that racism and xenophobia survive in a latent or blunt version exactly because they are nourished by certain dark forces. They often draw their power and audacity from the tolerance or even social silence.
We are here to prevent them. We will not tolerate those who systematically attempt to poison our society with hatred.
The democratic society reacts in an organized and determined way. The truth of our words as well as the strong and massive front of solidarity, equality, justice and humanity that we have been building will become the antidote and bulwark for our protection.
As an organized civil society, we confirm that we have been taking all necessary measures for the elimination of prejudice and stereotypes, as well as for the condemnation and isolation of hate speech and actions.
We will not stop until the last repulsive ideological relics that brought only disaster and devastation to mankind are completely eliminated.
We openly say ‘no’ to silence, ‘no’ to convenient alibis, ‘no’ to equivocation. We ask from everybody vigilance, personal and collective.
Humanity, equality, solidarity.
Zero tolerance, zero complacency”.
